How to understand CBD Oil (Cannabidiol) product strength and calculate your CBD dosage

Use this equation to calculate product strength:

 MG PER ML = (mg CBD) ÷ (ml container volume) >> e.g 750mg ÷ 30ml = 25mg per ml

Use this equation to calculate cost per ml

PRICE PER ML = (mg CBD) ÷ (unit price) >> e.g. 750mg ÷ $108 = $6.94 per mg
As a guide for dosage: 1 drop = .05ml / 20 drops = 1ml

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified
in cannabis. It is a major phytocannabinoid, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. CBD is considered to have a wide scope of potential medical applications – due to clinical reports showing the lack of side effects, particularly a lack of psychoactivity (as is typically
associated with ∆9-THC), and non-interference with several psychomotor learning and psychological functions.

Therapeutic effects of CBD and THC found in cannabis.

For many years people have seen great therapeutic benefits from the the use of products that have contain both CBD and THC however based on the most recent empirical research, clinical experiments and a growing wealth of compelling anecdotal evidence, that THC free or low THC Cannabidiol (CBD Oil) products seem to be able to deliver all the wellness and medicinal effects most people would require. We know that humans and animals have an endocannabinoid system that naturally produces cannabinoid receptor proteins throughout the body. We produce our own endogenous cannabinoids that act on the body and human brain. The human brain has more cannabinoid (CBD) receptors (anandamides) than any other type of protein receptor. We also now know that the phytocannabinoids in cannabis match the human endocannabinoids so closely it’s almost as if the plant was created especially for us. We believe that cannabis should be decriminalized globally to enable easy and legal access to buy CBD products here online and anywhere else. Health and wellness is a Human Right!

Medical Cannabis in Louisiana

The Louisiana State Legislature signed SB 143 into law in June 2015 to lay the framework for medicinal cannabis access, but regulatory hurdles have caused the program to struggle. To kick-start the program, Gov. John Bel Edwards signed a bill in May 2016 that expands the program to include more conditions and allows doctors to “recommend” rather than “prescribe” cannabis to patients. Louisiana lawmakers are moving to expand the state’s medical marijuana program, as the product nears availability in late 2018.

The House voted 60-39 in July 2018 to add more conditions to the list of diseases and disorders eligible for marijuana treatment.

Cannabis is available in  Louisiana as medicinal oils such as CBD oil, pills & capsules, CBD sprays and CBD infused cremes and balms for topical applications, but cannot be sold in a form that can be smoked.

A state-sanctioned grower and 10 distributors are allowed to grow Cannabis in Louisiana. Only the agricultural centers at LSU and Southern University are allowed to grow medicinal-grade pot, overseen by the state agriculture department. Both schools have selected vendors to run the growing operations. Also pending as of April 2018 on the House floor is a third bill dealing with Louisiana’s program, by Houma Rep. Tanner Magee, seeking to remove the January 2020 expiration date of the state’s medical marijuana law

There are a number of chronic, wasting, inflammatory, traumatic and terminal conditions currently approved for medical cannabis under SB 143. For further information on these you should search the Louisiana state government websites.

    About Louisiana (LA)

Louis XIV, King of France from 1643 to 1715 is the influence behind the naming of the state of Louisiana. When René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle claimed the territory drained by the Mississippi River for France, he named it La Louisiane.
The suffix -ana (or -ane) is a Latin suffix that can refer to “information relating to a particular individual, subject, or place. Thus the meaning is broken down to Louis + ana carries the idea of “related to Louis.” Once part of the French Colonial Empire, the Louisiana Territory stretched from present-day Mobile Bay to just north of the present-day Canada–United States border, including a small part of what is now the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The state of Louisiana is bordered to the west by Texas; to the north by Arkansas; to the east by Mississippi; and to the south by the Gulf of Mexico.

The state may properly be divided into two parts, the uplands of the north, and the alluvial along the coast.

The alluvial region includes low swamp lands, coastal marshlands and beaches, and barrier islands that cover about 20,000 square miles (52,000 km2). This area lies principally along the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi River, which traverses the state from north to south for a distance of about 600 miles (1,000 km) and empties into the Gulf of Mexico; the Red River; the Ouachita River and its branches; and other minor streams (some of which are called bayous).

The breadth of the alluvial region along the Mississippi is from 10 to 60 miles (15 to 100 km), and along the other rivers, the alluvial region averages about 10 miles (15 km) across. The Mississippi River flows along a ridge formed by its own natural deposits (known as a levee), from which the lands decline toward a river beyond at an average fall of six feet per mile (3 m/km). The alluvial lands along other streams present similar features.

The higher and contiguous hill lands of the north and northwestern part of the state have an area of more than 25,000 square miles (65,000 km2). They consist of prairie and woodlands. The elevations above sea level range from 10 feet (3 m) at the coast and swamp lands to 50 and 60 feet (15–18 m) at the prairie and alluvial lands. In the uplands and hills, the elevations rise to Driskill Mountain, the highest point in the state at only 535 feet (163 m) above sea level. From years 1932 to 2010 the state lost 1,800 sq. miles due to rises in sea level and erosion. The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) spends around $1 billion per year to help shore up and protect Louisiana’s wetlands. shoreline and land using federal and state funding.

The southern coast of Louisiana in the United States is among the fastest-disappearing areas in the world. This has largely resulted from human mismanagement of the coast including timber logging, and over fishing. At one time, the land was added to when spring floods from the Mississippi River added sediment and stimulated marsh growth; the land is now shrinking. There are multiple causes of this environmental catastrophe.

One major cause is the artificial levees in place,   put in place to block spring flood water that would naturally bring fresh water and sediment to marshes.
secondly the swamps have been extensively logged, leaving canals and ditches that allow saline water to move inland creating soil salination.
Canals dug for the oil and gas industry allow storms to move sea water inland,  damaging swamps and marshes further.

Rising sea waters have exacerbated the problem further for Louisiana’s wetlands.
The impact to Louisiana according to researchers is the equivalent of losing a land mass equivalent to 30 football fields every day. There are many proposals to save coastal areas by reducing human damage, including restoring natural floods from the Mississippi. Without such restoration, coastal communities will continue to disappear. As the coastal communities disappear, more and more people are leaving the region. Since the coastal wetlands support an economically important coastal fishery, the loss of wetlands is adversely affecting this industry in Louisiana let alone the planets precious ecosystems.
